Job Summary:
This individual will oversee all aspects pertaining to the project management office including setting project schedules to adhere to deadlines. They will assess employee and departmental performance and develop plans for change and/or improvement when needed. A Project Manager, or PM, is responsible for leading a cross-functional team of professionals in completing projects by a set deadline to uphold strategic business initiatives.
They work closely with CAO and project team leaders to establish project needs, deadlines and budgets. Their job is to create team selection, coordinate, and direct Project Managers on projects as assigned by the CAO. They may also be responsible for motivating their team and resolving conflicts between team members to ensure a productive work environment. Additionally, this role will also serve as Project Manager for multiple projects as needed. They will also oversee any special projects for Sukup Manufacturing Co. and coordinate all aspects related to the project, making sure they are completed on time and on budget. This position is full-time and is located out of our Sheffield Home Office.
Essential Job Requirements:
Background in Business Administration or Management preferred or five or more years’ related experience. Candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize is essential. Strong leadership aptitude and conflict resolution skills are paramount. Candidate should possess outstanding customer service skills and be able to interact professionally in any situation. Confidentiality in this position is required as this person works with all levels of management on strategic business initiatives.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, SmartSheet, knowledge of the company ERP platform as needed.
Job Duties:
This role will be responsible for the coordination of Project Managers and projects of Sukup Manufacturing Co. while maintaining the company goals and core values.
- Develop, with the CAO, project priorities, team selection, and budgets
- Create and track a detailed project management plan and other related project documents
- Serve as the point of contact for teams Project Managers
- Guide incoming and outgoing project files
- Provide solutions to project-related issues
- Define the project’s scope
- Set long and short-term milestones and deadlines
- Maintain budget and revenue estimates & manage projects within allotted budgets
- Manage project resources and their costs
- Assign, prioritize, and supervise project tasks
- Detect, report, and fix issues whenever necessary
- Identify, prevent, and manage risks
- Submit deliverables and ensure they adhere to quality standards
- Perform any other relevant, project-related duties when needed
Team-related responsibilities
- Coordinate time required for project with Managers of all team members
- Coordinate the team throughout all project management phases
- Ensure that all team members have the required information and resources to carry out their tasks effectively
- Monitor the team’s work time daily & foster culture based on accountability
- Manage large and diverse teams and projects (sometimes simultaneously)
- Lead daily/weekly stand-ups and meetings as needed
- Meet with individual team members to find and fix any issues
Outside customer-oriented responsibilities
- Manage communication with external and internal stakeholders (independent contractors, sponsors, executives, etc.)
- Organize and participate in client meetings
- Ensure compliance with project requirements and business needs
- Bring together all company units to meet project demands
General business responsibilities
- Maintain department and business relationships
- Contribute to the development of the company, its processes, and its projects
- Recommend further improvements
- Align department project’s objectives and outcomes with the company’s strategic plans
Working Conditions

- Work under typical oice conditions, and the noise level is moderately quiet
- Occasional travel to other offices for training or meetings
